This is Mr.Master Chiatanya Kiran Y, CMC Hospital No. 207392-C, son of Mr. Giri Babu Yendluri, has thalassaemia major. His sister Dharani is full HLA match and can serve as a bone marrow donor. As he has HLA matched sibling donor, the best option for him would be allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). He is scheduled for transplant in January, 2010. The estimated cost of BMT at this hospital will be in the region of Rs.12,00,000/- (Rupees Twelve Lakhs Only) in the absence of unforeseen complications.
